Ms. Shazia Nizamani, President, and Ms. Humaira Rahman, Member Advisory Board, of the Sindh Women Lawyers Alliance (SWLA) paid a visit to the SHRC office and had a meeting with the Chairperson, Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss potential collaborations between SHRC and SWLA.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues related to women's rights and #empowerment, including educating women on their legal rights, sensitizing men to these issues, and implementing existing laws and mechanisms at the grassroots level.
They also talked about identifying gaps in women-related laws and reviewing and activating relevant legal procedures.
The meeting was focused on ways to promote gender equality and advance women's rights in the region.
