The Sindh Human Rights Commission co-chaired a meeting with government officials and minority community stakeholders on 27th April 2023 at the DC Office in Jacobabad. The meeting addressed critical issues related to minority rights in Sindh.

The attendees discussed the effective implementation of the Sindh Hindus Marriage Act, 2018, to protect the rights of the Hindu minority community in the province. They also emphasized the importance of ensuring access to justice and promoting the rule of law.

The minority job quota policy was also addressed, aiming to provide adequate representation and inclusion of minorities in the public sector.

The SHRC recognizes the importance of upholding fundamental rights, including the right to life, liberty, equality, and dignity.
