The Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC) recently organized an awareness workshop on the Sindh Hindus Marriage Act 2016 in Sukkur Division, and we're excited to share what we learned with you.
Did you know that the Sindh Hindus Marriage Act 2016 aims to protect the rights of the Hindu community in the province of Sindh and ensure that their marriages are registered and legally recognized? This is a huge step forward for human rights in our province, and SHRC is committed to making sure it's enforced.
At our workshop, we trained local government officials, including Town Officers, Municipal Committee officers, and UC secretaries, to help them better understand the Act and its implications for their communities. We also talked about Hindu Personal Laws and the importance of creating awareness among the public and government officials about human rights issues, including those faced by minority communities.
