Mr. Aslam Shaikh, our esteemed Judicial Member II, recently attended a consultative workshop on Voluntary National Survey & International Conference on Population & Development. The workshop aimed to evaluate Pakistan's progress in achieving the ICPD program of action over the past 5 years.
During the workshop, Mr. Shaikh actively participated in the discussions alongside distinguished speakers who shared valuable insights on various critical areas such as sexual and reproductive health rights, gender equality, poverty eradication, employment, and population dynamics including aging, urbanization, migration, and food security.
This workshop, organized by the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, brought together representatives from government agencies, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and other key stakeholders. Their collective efforts and expertise promise to contribute significantly to the advancement of these crucial domains.
