This crucial initiative brought together key stakeholders, including the Chairperson Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho of Sindh Human Rights Commission and Judicial Member-II M. Aslam Shaikh from the SHRC.

The primary objective behind the establishment of TWG-CDL-Sindh is to provide a dedicated platform for all stakeholders involved in combating child domestic labor in Sindh. It serves as a collaborative space to analyze and synthesize the outcomes of recent consultations with parliamentarians, government officials, and non-state actors.

During the meeting, SHRC Chairperson shed light on the alarming issue of child domestic labor prevalent in Sindh. This gathering of stakeholders aimed to collectively develop a comprehensive set of legal reform agenda points, specifically targeting amendments to existing laws in Sindh. The ultimate goal is to eradicate the menace of child domestic labor and provide comprehensive and efficient protection to its victims.

We firmly believe that by outlawing child domestic labor and implementing robust protective measures, we can create a safer and more nurturing environment for the children of Sindh.
