Member Judicial-II, Sindh Human Rights Commission, Mr. Muhammad Aslam Shaikh, visited the SHRC Regional office Sukkur on August 23, 2023, upon the direction of the Chairperson, Iqbal Ahmed Detho.
The purpose of the visit is to conduct an inquiry into the murder of Senior Journalist Jan Muhammad Mahar, to assess the progress of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) and record statements from the Investigation officer of the case, the complainant, and witnesses.
The aim is to consolidate the inquiry's findings and provide recommendations to the relevant authorities.
