Chairperson & Members (SHRC) held a meeting with Mr. Suhail Khan, Deputy Director of Parole and Probation, Home Department.

Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, along with Members Judicial, Arshad Noor Khan and M. Aslam Shaikh brought together the SHRC team with Mr. Manzoor Hussain, Director Probation and Mr. Suhail Khan, Deputy Director of Parole and Probation, Home Department. The primary aim of the meeting was to introduce the SHRC staff to the mandate, role, and responsibilities of the Directorate of Probation.

Mr. Detho warmly welcomed the officials. The Members Judicial I & II of the Sindh Human Rights Commission.

During the meeting, Mr. Manzoor Hussain provided an informative overview of the three key Acts that guided their department's work: The Good Conduct Prisoners’ Probational Release Act, 1926, and Rules 2001, The Probation of Offenders Ordinance, 1960, and Rules 1961, and The Sindh Children Act 1955

It's essential to understand these Acts' significance as they play a pivotal role in shaping the framework for human rights and justice in our region.

This collaboration will create a positive impact on reinforcing the principles of justice and human rights in Sindh.
