While handling complaints of human rights violations by Sindh Human Rights Commission by Individuals & Collective nature and on their behalf such as by organizations i.e Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) regarding harassment with the Human Rights Defenders and consequent infringements of Article 15, 16, 17 & 19 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic Pakistan. Owing to the allegations of the Rights violations of Human Rights Defenders, the Commission (SHRC) called representatives / police officials from District Malir, Keamari, and South Karachi respectively. The representative from HRCP were also present during the hearing.
The Chairperson Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho and Member Judicial-II Mr. M. Aslam Sheikh heard the parties and emphasized upon protection from harassment of Human Rights Defender's while they are exercising their fundamental right of peaceful assembly.
Case was adjourned for next hearing.
