Sindh Human Rights Commission, convened a follow-up consultative meeting at SHRC’s Karachi office, bringing together a diverse array of stakeholders from various commissions and statutory authorities established by the Government of Sindh. Attended by key players such as the Sindh Healthcare Commission, Sindh HIV-AIDS Commission, Sindh Mental Health Authority and National Commission for Human Rights Pakistan - NCHR the gathering aimed to deliberate and strategize the implementation of insights gleaned from the previous meeting held on January 25, 2022.

At the helm of proceedings were SHRC’s Chairperson, Iqbal Ahmed Detho and Dr. Khalid Hussain Shaikh, Chairman of the Sindh Health Care Commission. Together, they outlined plans for collaborative initiatives, including efforts to integrate health components into fundamental rights by SHCC, SHRC, and NCHR, with federal-level cases falling under the purview of NCHR.

Moreover, discussions centered on addressing staffing and resource deficiencies across commissions, with plans to present brief papers outlining pertinent issues to the Chief Minister following the installment of the new government.
