Zulfiqar Shah, Member, SHRC delivered a lecture on the functioning of the commission on 28th November at a three day training programme organized by the Democratic Commission of Human Development (DCHD) in Karachi. Mr. Shah informed the over 30 female participants who came from various community organizations within the city about the powers, mandate and complaints mechanism of the commission and provided them with contacts of the commission for lodging complaints. These efforts are aimed at increasing the awareness about the commission which is a statutory body of the government of Sindh.
