🗓️ Held on: 22nd May, 2025 | Karachi

The Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC) held a multi-stakeholder consultation to initiate a strategic study aimed at mapping human rights institutional structures and protection mechanisms across Sindh.
The goal is to document existing human rights mechanisms, understand gaps in coordination and service delivery, and develop a more accessible, accountable, and well-connected institutional framework that strengthens protection and justice for all in Sindh.

🗣️ The consultation was led by Barrister Rida Tahir, Member (Business and Human Rights), SHRC, who presented practical legal protection mechanisms and pathways for accessing legal aid across the province. 
Mr. Iqbal Detho, Chairperson SHRC, joined the session vvirtually. He emphasized the urgent need to operationalize the Rs. 440 million legal aid budget in Sindh.
